Cast

CHRIS MASSOGLIA (Darren) was introduced to acting through workshops at a local dance school in Minneapolis. Shortly after starting an acting class and after a nationwide casting call, Massoglia was one of three kids flown to New York to audition for a feature film opposite Nicole Kidman. At that time, Massoglia signed with an agency for representation in New York and Las Angeles, and he began to work steadily in television.
KEN WATANABE (Mr. Tall) is currently filming Warner Bros.' Inception, directed by Christopher Nolan, a contemporary sci-fi thriller set within the architecture of the mind, also starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard and Cillian Murphy. Following Batman Begins, Inception marks Watanabe's second collaboration with Nolan.
On October 24, Watanabe will star in the Japanese release Shizumanu Taiyo (aka Unsetting Sun), a true story about Japan Airlines' workers union.
In 1979 WILLEM DAFOE (Gavner Purl) was given a small role in Michael Cimino's Heaven's Gate, from which he was fired. His first feature role came shortly after in Kathryn Bigelow's The Loveless. From there, he went on to perform in more than 60 films-in Hollywood (Spider-Man, The English Patient, Finding Nemo, Once Upon a Time in Mexico) and in independent cinema in the U.S. (The Clearing, Animal Factory) and abroad (Lars von Trier's Manderlay, Ho Yim's Pavilion of Women).
With an impressive body of work, JOSH HUTCHERSON's (Steve) career continues to evolve with exciting and challenging projects.
Hutcherson is preparing to head to Detroit to start filming the highly anticipated MGM remake of the cult favorite Red Dawn. He plays the role of Robert Morris, the true fighter of the group, originally played by C. Thomas Howell.
Academy Award® and multi-Golden Globe nominee JOHN C. REILLY (Larten Crepsley) has made an impact in both the comedic and dramatic worlds of cinema. He has received Oscar® and Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actor for his standout performance as Amos Hart in the Academy Award®-winning film Chicago. In 2002, Reilly starred in two other Academy Award® nominated films: Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York and Stephen Daldry's The Hours. It was the first time that a single actor had been part of three of the five films in the Oscar® Best Picture category.
Academy Award® nominee SALMA HAYEK (Madame Truska) has proven herself as a prolific actress, producer and director in both film and television. She received Academy Award®, Golden Globe, SAG Award and BAFTA nominations for Best Actress for playing the title role in Julie Taymor's Frida. This past summer, Hayek completed filming Grown Ups, a Columbia Pictures comedy about five best friends from high school who reunited on a Fourth of July weekend, 30 years after graduation. The film is scheduled for release in 2012.

Welcome to the Cirque Du Freak, a traveling sideshow filled with magical creatures, misunderstood freaks, and the mysterious vampire, Larten Crepsley (John C. Reilly). Drawn to the dark, unpredictable world of the Cirque, 16-year-old Darren (Chris Massoglia) decides to trade in his ordinary life for a chance to become an immortal vampire. As Darren explores his newfound powers and faces unexpected enemies, he’ll find that his existence as a member of the undead is filled with more challenges, suspense and fun than he ever thought possible. Based on the best-selling book series and co-starring Salma Hayek, Josh Hutcherson, Ken Watanabe, and Willem Dafoe, it’s a fast-paced, suspenseful journey critics call, "Imaginative!" (Peter Hall, Cinematical.com)
